HKTDC to Present the World’s Largest One-Stop Jewellery Marketplace

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will once again stage the world’s largest one-stop jewellery marketplace this March, returning with its established “Two Shows, Two Venues” format. The 12th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show will be held from 2 to 6 March at AsiaWorld-Expo, spotlighting jewellery raw materials, while the 42nd Hong Kong International Jewellery Show will run from 4 to 8 March at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, showcasing finished jewellery creations.
Jenny Koo, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, noted that the twin fairs will welcome nearly 4,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions, with international participation accounting for 70%. She highlighted growing exhibitor representation from Brazil, the UAE and India, alongside the debut of Uzbekistan. The shows reinforce Hong Kong’s role as a global jewellery sourcing hub and international trading centre.
Reflecting broader market momentum, Hong Kong’s exports of high-value jewellery to ASEAN markets surged by 51%, while shipments to the UK, Australia and Switzerland rose by 36%, 28% and 10% respectively.
Over 40 themed pavilions, including debut showcases
More than 40 themed and regional pavilions will feature across the two shows, representing markets such as Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, India, Israel, Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Italy, Türkiye, the US and Latin America.
A major highlight is the debut of the World Gold Council’s Hard Pure Gold Pavilion, featuring 11 exhibitors from Chinese Mainland and showcasing innovative advancements in gold craftsmanship aimed at global expansion. The Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association will participate as a pavilion for the first time, alongside the debut of the Zhushan Turquoise pavilion from Hubei. Returning organisations include the Tanzanite Foundation, the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) and several regional design and craft associations. The Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association will again collaborate with the Italian Exhibition Group to present advanced jewellery manufacturing technologies.
Global brands and standout creations
The Hall of Fame at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show returns on an expanded scale, welcoming renowned international brands to enhance global exposure. Highlights include Turkish brand Zen Diamond presenting precision-cut diamond rings, Continental Diamond Company unveiling an 18K white and rose gold ring set with blue and pink diamonds, and Unique Brilliant Ltd showcasing a ruby necklace and earring set featuring the prized “pigeon blood red” hue.
Celebrating Oriental aesthetics and heritage craftsmanship
Asian cultural influences take centre stage this year. Guangdong Jiabao Pavilion Jewellery presents a handcrafted 18K gold filigree butterfly brooch created using national intangible heritage techniques, while Shenzhen Meifei Precious Metals introduces a modern Chinese-style collection incorporating six traditional goldworking methods.
With hard pure gold gaining traction for its durability and design flexibility, the World Gold Council will host a seminar exploring global gold market trends and technological developments. Additional events celebrating Oriental aesthetics include the Hong Kong International Fashion Chuk Kam Jewellery Design Competition 2026 and the inaugural International Fei Cui Jewellery Design Competition, both holding award ceremonies during the fairs.
Innovation and creative design
Trend-driven design remains a strong focus. Austy Lee Company introduces zebra-inspired bangles for the Year of the Horse, while Zheng Hong Collective debuts a kinetic brooch with movable elements. The 27th Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition, themed “Pure Elegance – Natural Beauty,” returns to spotlight emerging talent, with winning designs announced during the shows.
Rare and historic treasures on display
Buyers can explore exceptional antique and rare jewellery across both exhibitions. Highlights include a 1970s Buccellati pink sapphire suite, a 19th-century Italian enamel diamond piece preserved in its original box, an 18.98-carat natural pink sapphire, and an ammolite and diamond necklace set in 18K gold.
A dedicated seminar titled The Origins of Style: Tracing the Imprint of Time and Craftsmanship will feature British jewellery historian Dr. Jack Ogden, offering insights into the evolution of jewellery design and craftsmanship.
Knowledge sharing, technology and business networking
More than 20 seminars and networking sessions will cover topics ranging from artificial intelligence and jewellery technology to digital marketing and e-commerce strategies. Industry experts and influencers will share practical insights on integrating online and offline channels to boost brand visibility and sales.
Seamless sourcing through hybrid solutions
The shows will operate under the EXHIBITION+ hybrid model, combining physical exhibitions with digital sourcing tools. HKTDC’s AI-powered Click2Match and Scan2Match platforms will enable business matching before, during and after the fairs. Buyers can also benefit from streamlined entry through the HKTDC Marketplace App and verified eBadge system, significantly reducing onsite wait times.
To enhance the visitor experience, HKTDC has partnered with the Hong Kong Tourism Board and local businesses to offer exclusive buyer privileges, including travel, dining and accommodation benefits, along with complimentary shuttle services between venues.
Together, the twin shows promise unmatched sourcing opportunities, global industry exchange and a comprehensive showcase of jewellery craftsmanship, innovation and design.
