Mia by Tanishq Enters Nagaland with Debut at Hornbill Festival

Mia by Tanishq has made its entry into Nagaland through a prominent partnership with the Hornbill Festival 2025, marking the brand’s first major footprint in the state and boosting its broader North East expansion. As the festival’s Official Style Partner, the contemporary, youth-focused jewellery brand is positioning itself in a region that aligns naturally with its themes of self-expression and modern aesthetics.
Ajay Maurya, Head of Category and Marketing, said the collaboration serves as Mia’s first touchpoint in Nagaland, adding that the state’s strong fashion culture makes it an ideal fit for the brand. Although Nagaland does not yet have a standalone Mia store, the company is actively exploring potential locations. For now, Mia products are available at the Tanishq store in Dimapur. The brand already operates about four stores in Guwahati and has a presence in parts of Meghalaya.
Mia has grown quickly to over 270 stores across India, up from 120 two years ago. Around 90% of its revenue comes from physical retail, with online sales continuing to rebound.
Honouring Naga culture, Mia has crafted three silver pendants inspired by the hornbill, an inverted sickle, and a feather, featuring the colours of the state flag. These designs will be sold nationwide through its website.
The Hornbill Festival, held annually from 1–10 December at Kisama Heritage Village, continues to be one of Nagaland’s most important cultural events, drawing visitors from across India and abroad.
