Rare 6.17ct Fancy Pink Diamond to Headline Heritage’s Holiday Jewelry Auction

A highly coveted 6.17-carat fancy-pink diamond ring — nicknamed The Angelina — is set to be the star lot at Heritage Auctions’ Holiday Fine Jewelry Signature Sale in Dallas on December 3, with estimates reaching as high as $1.8 million.
The oval, VVS2-clarity pink diamond is framed by full-cut diamonds and mounted on a diamond-encrusted band. “Stones of this quality rarely appear on the market, and interest continues to intensify,” noted Jill Burgum, executive director of fine jewelry at Heritage. “Large, high-clarity fancy pink diamonds over 5 carats remain the pinnacle for collectors.”
The sale will feature more than 350 pieces, including notable colored gemstones and signature designs from David Webb, Tiffany & Co., and Van Cleef & Arpels. Highlights include:

A ring showcasing a 10.89-carat, D-color, VS2 square diamond with triangular side stones, estimated at up to $300,000.

A 5.90-carat, D, VVS2 round brilliant diamond ring with pear-shaped accents, expected to reach $220,000.

A 4.04-carat, D, VVS1 round brilliant diamond ring with an estimate of $150,000.

A pair of earrings featuring square-cut diamonds weighing 5.39 carats (I, VS2) and 5.41 carats (H, VVS2), also estimated up to $150,000.
