Ankit Gems Doubles Solar Capacity at Eco-Certified Surat Facility

Ankit Gems, a prominent producer of natural polished diamonds, has significantly advanced its sustainability efforts by doubling the solar energy capacity at its LEED Platinum-certified Surat facility. The solar upgrade boosts capacity from 520 kW to 1,023 kW, allowing the facility to generate approximately 1.12 million kWh of clean energy annually. This move is projected to cut carbon emissions by around 944 tons per year.

With solar energy now meeting 75% of the facility’s energy needs—up from 50%—the company has sharply reduced its reliance on conventional energy sources. The expanded solar infrastructure is part of Ankit Gems’ broader commitment to renewable energy and sustainable operations.
