Kira, a company from the Kiran family, has expanded its production capacity from 2,600 to 4,000 CVD reactors, establishing itself as the world’s largest producer of lab-grown diamonds (LGDs). With this upgrade, Kira now delivers over 250,000 polished carats each month.
The milestone reflects the vision of Kiran family founder Vallabhbhai Lakhani, whose guiding motto, “Har ghar hira, har ghar Kira,” drives the mission of making diamonds more accessible, sustainable, and globally trusted.
As a fully integrated player, Kira oversees every stage of the value chain — from growing, cutting, and polishing to jewellery manufacturing — supported by over 10,000 skilled artisans. Its 1 million sq. ft. Surat facility runs on 75 MW of solar energy, with plans to expand to 150 MW. Certified by SMETA and SEDEX, Kira proudly represents India’s Make in India initiative on the global stage.
The company currently partners with more than 4,700 clients worldwide, including designers, manufacturers, and major retail chains, through offices in Mumbai, Surat, Hong Kong, and New York.
Celebrating the achievement, Rajesh Lakhani, Founding Partner of Kira Diam LLP, said:
“Reaching 4,000 reactors is not just a milestone in capacity but a declaration of India’s leadership in the global lab-grown diamond sector. At Kira, we take pride in empowering 10,000 Indians, reducing import dependence, and delivering scale, sustainability, and trust to our partners worldwide.”
