Anglo American plc has completed the sale of around 52.2 million ordinary shares in Valterra Platinum Limited (formerly Anglo American Platinum) via an accelerated bookbuild, priced at ZAR845 per share. The transaction marks the disposal of its entire 19.9% residual holding following Valterra Platinum’s demerger in May 2025.
The offering generated ZAR44.1 billion (approximately US$2.5 billion). Proceeds will not go to Valterra Platinum. Settlement on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange is scheduled for around 9 September 2025.
