The first-ever three-week induction under the Exporter Mentorship Program (EMP) was successfully held at the India Jewellery Exposition Centre (IJEX) in Dubai by the Statistics and Research branch of the GJEPC in partnership with the IJEX Dubai team. The curriculum, which was created to empower Indian jewelry exporters who were interested in entering the UAE market, provided a thorough in-depth analysis of all facets of global trade and business growth.
Export documentation, regulatory and compliance training, operational procedures, and product positioning strategies were all covered in detail in the end-to-end guidance given to participants. Customized sessions on market trends, diamond and gold jewelry price grids, and the significance of choosing designs that suit regional consumer tastes were also included in the curriculum.
The exporters were given a comprehensive picture by visiting manufacturing sites, labs, and markets. With genuine market participation, the event went beyond theory and gave participants the chance to speak with local Middle Eastern and international customers and retailers.
The one-on-one mentorship, in which each exporter collaborated with an expert to hone their business plan and market entry roadmap, was a significant highlight of the induction. Participants were given a unique opportunity to increase visibility, create new business partnerships, and learn how to scale sustainably in the area by being exposed to IJEX’s thriving ecosystem.
Many participants described it as an eye-opener and a unique opportunity to obtain practical insights into the UAE jewelry sector, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
