
India’s Panna Diamond Mining Project, located 15 kilometers from Panna, is set to resume operations after resolving environmental objections raised by a neighboring tiger reserve. The mine has had multiple work stoppages. Environmental approvals lapsed in December 2020 because to concerns expressed by the adjacent Panna Tiger Reserve.
The state-run National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), India’s largest iron ore merchant miner, expects to produce 6,500 carats worth $3.4 million this fiscal year.
