A 14-member Thai team, led by Ms. Nuntawan Sakuntanaga, Chairman of the Gem and Jewellery Institute of Thailand (GIT)<\/a>, visited Jaipur to investigate prospective cooperation with India’s gem and jewellery industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation met with representatives from the GJEPC<\/a>‘s institute (IIGJ) and lab (IIGJ-RLC), as well as members of the Jewellers Association Jaipur and the Sitapura Gems and Jewellery Industry Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the conference, both sides explored potential areas of collaboration, such as student and technology exchange programs, business delegation exchanges, mutual participation in exhibits, joint ventures, foreign direct investment, reciprocal recognition of lab credentials, and standard harmonisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Thai delegation expressed a desire to form a collaborative action group to finalize and implement these cooperative initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shri Nirmal Bardiya, Regional Chairman of GJEPC<\/a>, Dr. Nawal Agarwal<\/a>, Chairman of IIGJ and IIGJ-RLC, and Shri B.N. Gupta, CoA Member of GJEPC<\/a>, were among those who attended the meeting. The president, secretary, and executive board members of the Jewellers Association Jaipur and the Sitapura Gems and Jewellery Industry Association also attended the ceremony, demonstrating strong regional support for promoting partnership with Thailand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
