{"id":9432,"date":"2024-09-16T06:58:17","date_gmt":"2024-09-16T06:58:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jewellerynewsindia.com\/?p=9432"},"modified":"2024-09-16T06:58:45","modified_gmt":"2024-09-16T06:58:45","slug":"duty-drawback-rodtep-and-rosctl-benefits-are-now-available-for-courier-exports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jewellerynewsindia.com\/index.php\/2024\/09\/16\/duty-drawback-rodtep-and-rosctl-benefits-are-now-available-for-courier-exports\/","title":{"rendered":"Duty drawback, RoDTEP, and RoSCTL benefits are now available for courier exports."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized has-custom-border\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"875\" height=\"621\" src=\"https:\/\/jewellerynewsindia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG-2-7.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9434\" style=\"border-width:3px;border-radius:5px;width:579px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jewellerynewsindia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG-2-7.jpg 875w, https:\/\/jewellerynewsindia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG-2-7-300x213.jpg 300w, https:\/\/jewellerynewsindia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG-2-7-768x545.jpg 768w, https:\/\/jewellerynewsindia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG-2-7-200x142.jpg 200w, https:\/\/jewellerynewsindia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG-2-7-600x426.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 875px) 100vw, 875px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbic.gov.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC)<\/a>, which is part of the Department of Revenue in the <a href=\"https:\/\/finmin.gov.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ministry of Finance<\/a>, has issued a circular introducing a new system that extends export-related benefits, such as Duty Drawback, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiantradeportal.in\/vs.jsp?lang=0&amp;id=0,55,23222#:~:text=RoDTEP%20scheme%20is%20notified%20with,Appendix%204R%20to%20the%20Notification.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Remission of Duties or Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP)<\/a>, and Rebate of State and Central Taxes and Levies on Export of Goods (RoSCTL), to exports made via courier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously, limitations in the <a href=\"https:\/\/eccsmobility.cbic.gov.in\/eicimobility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Express Cargo Clearance System (ECCS)<\/a> restricted exporters from claiming incentives such as Duty Drawback, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiantradeportal.in\/vs.jsp?lang=0&amp;id=0,55,23222#:~:text=RoDTEP%20scheme%20is%20notified%20with,Appendix%204R%20to%20the%20Notification.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RoDTEP<\/a>, and the RoSCTL Scheme for courier exports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This barrier has been overcome with the decision to use the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ices.nic.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Indian Customs EDI System (ICES)<\/a> at International Courier Terminals (ICTs). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ices.nic.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ICES<\/a> provides the required functionalities, such as scroll creation and interface with the Public Financial Management System (PFMS), to process these export-related payments efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorised couriers claiming Duty Drawback, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiantradeportal.in\/vs.jsp?lang=0&amp;id=0,55,23222#:~:text=RoDTEP%20scheme%20is%20notified%20with,Appendix%204R%20to%20the%20Notification.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RoDTEP<\/a>, or RoSCTL benefits will now submit their Shipping Bills to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ices.nic.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ICES<\/a> using their existing Courier Registration. Custodians of ICTs shall register with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ices.nic.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ICES<\/a> to manage export products registration and exchange appropriate messages. Goods will be physically handled and scrutinized at ICTs, while customs clearance will be completed electronically via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ices.nic.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ICES<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This move streamlines the process without affecting the physical handling of shipments at courier
