The Jewelry Report service, which provides information on the metal features, gemstone properties, and any existing engravings on submitted objects, is being tested by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A thorough description of the submitted jewelry piece(s) is included in the GIA<\/a> Jewelry Report, together with metal verification and ranges for the clarity, color, and carat weight of D-to-Z diamonds without prior GIA<\/a> reports for unmounted diamonds. The precise grades and a link to GIA<\/a>‘s Report Check for further verification will be included in the report, if the diamonds have GIA<\/a> report numbers already in place. Information on any recent markings is also included in the GIA<\/a> Jewelry Report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For an extra charge, add-on services like fresh engravings, a 360-degree video of the jewelry, and more will be offered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“GIA<\/a>‘s continued commitment to ensuring consumer confidence and trust in jewelry is extended with this service,” stated Tom Moses<\/a>, Executive Vice President and Chief Laboratory Officer of GIA<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every report number for the GIA<\/a> Jewelry Report will be alphanumeric, guaranteeing each piece’s distinct and safe identification.
