The transfer demonstrates De Beers<\/a>‘ commitment to simplifying operations and capitalizing on Botswana’s favorable diamond trading climate. After over a decade of successfully operating Global Sightholder Sales in Gaborone, the decision to relocate the Auctions headquarters underlines the company’s confidence in Botswana’s capabilities and strategic growth strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al Cook, CEO of De Beers Group<\/a>, expressed his enthusiasm at bringing the company’s global diamond trading operations under one roof. He stressed the logical and beneficial aspects of shifting the Auctions operation to Botswana, including the possibility for cost savings and improved customer service. Cook also expressed confidence in the move’s potential to further boost Botswana’s thriving diamond business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
