India Gem & Jewellery Machinery Expo (IGJME)<\/a> takes place jointly with IIJS Tritiya<\/a> Bengaluru 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GJEPC<\/a> Signs MoU with Karnataka Jewellers Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC)<\/a>, India’s leading trade body, has opened the second edition of the India International Jewellery Show – IIJS Tritiya<\/a> – in Bangalore (Karnataka) at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC)<\/a> from April 5th to 8th, 2024. For the first time, the India Gem & Jewellery Machinery Expo (IGJME)<\/a> will run concurrently with IIJS Tritiya<\/a> Bangalore 2024 to display world-class production technologies based on digital technology tools and processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GJEPC<\/a> unveiled the “Brilliant Bharat” theme for the next six India International Jewellery Shows (IIJS). The Brilliant Bharat theme is to rediscover and celebrate India’s traditions, cultural diversity, and cutting-edge technology in order to create something truly exceptional. It also allows you to discover the charm of India’s rich heritage, the beauty of our handicraft, and the kindness of our people.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IIJS Tritiya<\/a> was hailed as the gateway for \u2018Gateway to Global gem & jewellery Exports\u2019 by the distinguished dignitaries during the inauguration. The inaugural was graced by Dr. Selvakumar, IAS, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Govt. of Karnataka; Dr. B Govindan, Chairman, Bhima Jewellery<\/a>; Shri Vinod Hayagriv<\/a>, MD & Director, C. Krishniah Chetty Group<\/a>; Vipul Shah, Chairman, GJEPC<\/a>; Dr. Chetan Kumar Mehta, President, Jewellers Association Bengaluru<\/a>; Shri Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman, GJEPC<\/a>; Mr. Nirav Bhansali, Convener-National Exhibitions, GJEPC<\/a> and Member of Committee of Administration (COA), GJEPC; and Shri Sabyasachi Ray; ED, GJEPC<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Vipul Shah, Chairman of GJEPC<\/a>, and Dr. Chetan Kumar Mehta, President of the Jewellers Association Bengaluru<\/a>, signed an MoU to enhance gem and jewelry exports from the state through a number of initiatives led by GJEPC<\/a>, including the Karnataka jewelry Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year’s IIJS Tritiya<\/a> is larger,’smarter’, and better than previous year, with over 900 exhibitors and 1,900 stalls spread across 40,000 square meters. It functions as a large marketplace, giving unparalleled chances for industry players to engage, collaborate, and grow. It has over 15,000 pre-registered visitors from 500 locations in India and 60 countries, demonstrating the event’s worldwide importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with showcasing an extensive range of gold jewellery collections that reflect the rich heritage and craftsmanship of India’s jewellery industry, this year’s exhibition also includes the India Gem & Jewellery Machinery Expo (IGJME)<\/a>, which showcases the latest innovations and technologies in machinery from both national and international realms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Selvakumar, IAS, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Government of Karnataka, stated, “Karnataka’s gem and jewelry sector sets new standards for entrepreneurship, excellence, and innovation through technology. Karnataka’s experienced craftsmen are well-known for their exquisite and elaborate jewelry, which includes temple jewelry, antique jewelry, and Nakash jewelry, among others. IIJS Tritiya<\/a> demonstrates India’s status as a hub for creative jewels powered by smart technology. IIJS Tritiya<\/a> reaffirms the industry’s dedication, contribution, and joint efforts to boost gem and jewelry exports from Karnataka and South India.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Vipul Shah, Chairman of GJEPC<\/a>, stated, “We are a USD 40 billion export industry today, but the scope and potential for further growth is enormous, given the ever-increasing demand in the global gem and jewellery market.” GJEPC<\/a> is working closely with the government to win favorable policies in impending trade agreements for our sector, including FTAs with the GCC, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. Furthermore, GJEPC<\/a> has successfully lobbied the government to implement steps to make it easier to do business in e-commerce for retail jewelry exports from India, allowing Indian merchants to easily supply their products to worldwide customers.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. B Govindan, Chairman of Bhima Jewellery<\/a>, stated, “Investing in the jewellery industry not only creates jobs but also contributes significantly to the economy.” Every person must recognize and contribute to their country’s potential. With the right assistance and industry knowledge, this sector can prosper, creating jobs and driving economic growth.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Vinod Hayagriv<\/a>, MD & Director, C. Krishniah Chetty Group<\/a>, stated that IIJS Tritiya<\/a> will soon become a milestone show for all of India. The event has not only grown in size, but it has also become smarter, mirroring Bangalore’s status as a smart city. We anticipate a highly smart industry in the following decade. I believe $70 billion is a very attainable goal, and with GJEPC<\/a> at the helm, I believe we can easily achieve it much earlier than 2030.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman, GJEPC<\/a>, stated, “The Council is committed to enabling MSMEs through programs such as Common Facility Centres, Mega CFCs, Jewellery Park in Mumbai, Gem Bourse in Jaipur, and digital platforms for improved marketing and sales. These efforts not only help the sector expand in the global market, but also ensure that it adheres to the values of Viksit Bharat.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Chetan Kumar Mehta, President of the Jewellers Association Bengaluru<\/a>, stated, “We pledge unwavering support from the Jewellers Association of Bangalore (JAB) to ensure the industry’s continued growth and prosperity.” With GJEPC<\/a>‘s excellent efforts and initiatives, our industry is on its way to greater organization and prosperity.
