Professor Anil Sooklal and Consul General Gideon Labane, visited the <a href=\"https:\/\/bdbindia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB)<\/a> on April 29, underscoring efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation in the diamond industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The delegation was welcomed by <a href=\"https:\/\/bdbindia.org\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BDB President Anoop Mehta<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/gjepc.org\/coa.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GJEPC Chairman Kirit Bhansali<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/bdbindia.org\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BDB Vice President Mehul Shah<\/a>, along with other committee members. During their visit, the officials explored the BDB premises, gaining insights into its advanced infrastructure and secure trading environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As one of the world\u2019s leading sources of rough diamonds, South Africa remains a vital partner. Discussions focused on ensuring consistent supply, strengthening trade ties, and creating long-term value across the diamond value chain. Both sides also considered opportunities to expand institutional collaboration within the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emphasizing the 200-year relationship between India and South Africa, <a href=\"https:\/\/bdbindia.org\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mehul Shah<\/a> suggested streamlining visa processes with extended validity for BDB members and staff to facilitate smoother business operations and improve the flow of rough diamonds.
