The event is taking place alongside the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hktdc.com\/event\/hkdgp\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">12th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem &amp; Pearl Show<\/a>, which began on 2 March at AsiaWorld-Expo and continues through 6 March. Together, the two exhibitions feature around 4,000 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and regions, creating the world\u2019s largest integrated marketplace for jewellery sourcing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/aboutus.hktdc.com\/en\/the-management\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jenny Koo, Deputy Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council<\/a>, noted that the event introduces several new highlights this year, including the Hard Pure Gold Pavilion and the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Pavilion, alongside an expanded Hall of Fame. Uzbekistan is also making its debut with a delegation of 10 companies presenting a variety of gold jewellery. These additions aim to strengthen industry collaboration while reinforcing Hong Kong\u2019s role as a global jewellery trading hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kent Wong, Chairman of the organising committee for both shows, emphasised Hong Kong\u2019s importance as an international trade and sourcing centre. He added that the continued \u201cTwo Shows, Two Venues\u201d format attracts global jewellery professionals for sourcing, networking and tracking emerging market trends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hall of Fame at the show has expanded by over 40%, welcoming a broader lineup of international brands. Among the highlights is a 35.5-carat diamond necklace presented by Turkish exhibitor Hosgor Kuyumculuk Mucevherat Ticaret Limited Sirketi. Another notable showcase comes from Hong Kong-based Glamour Fine Jewelry Enterprise Company in the Hall of Extraordinary, featuring a luxurious bracelet combining Colombian emeralds with diamonds and rubies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reflecting the growing popularity of advanced gold technologies in mainland China, the newly introduced Hard Pure Gold Pavilion\u2014organised by the World Gold Council\u2014brings together 11 exhibitors demonstrating techniques that produce harder, lighter and brighter gold jewellery capable of setting gemstones. The Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Pavilion also highlights the creative crossover between watchmaking and jewellery craftsmanship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fairs include several events celebrating Asian design influences. The Jewellers\u2019 and Goldsmiths\u2019 Association of Hong Kong presented the awards for the Hong Kong International Fashion Chuk Kam Jewellery Design Competition, which encourages culturally inspired gold jewellery suited to ASEAN and Middle Eastern markets. Another highlight is the inaugural International Fei Cui Jewellery Design Competition organised by the Hong Kong Jade Association, recognising designers who combine jadeite with global cultural elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Collectors and luxury buyers are also drawn to the Antique &amp; Vintage Jewellery Galleria, which features rare historic pieces, including a century-old bi-colour enamel diamond creation from World Coins Co., Ltd. Contemporary creativity is equally prominent in the Designer Galleria, where ten Korean designers and around 50 exhibitors from design associations across Asia present innovative jewellery concepts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To support emerging talent, the 27th Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition returns under the theme \u201cPure Elegance \u2013 Natural Beauty\u201d, organised in partnership with leading industry associations including the Diamond Federation of Hong Kong. The competition offers both professionals and students a platform to showcase innovative jewellery designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Technology and digital commerce also feature strongly at the event. The fairs continue their collaboration with Taobao Tmall to help exhibitors tap into the Chinese mainland market, while Douyin joins for the first time to host live-streaming promotions with influencers and KOLs. Industry seminars will explore online marketing strategies, as well as the role of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in enhancing manufacturing efficiency and driving product innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A variety of seminars and jewellery parades will also take place during the show, including a talk by British jewellery historian Dr. Jack Ogden, who will examine the evolution of jewellery craftsmanship and changing design aesthetics throughout history.
