On 20th August, GJEPC representatives met senior Customs authorities at the New Custom House, Delhi, to resolve a long-standing import concern and facilitate the release of two jewellery consignments held up at the EDI port. Mr. Antarpal Singh Sawhney, Regional Chairman (North), GJEPC<\/a>, interacted with the Commissioner (Airport), Additional Commissioner (Airport), Assistant Commissioner (Airport), and the Jewellery Appraiser (Import).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further engaged in detailed discussions with Smt. Ashima Bansal, IRS, Commissioner of Customs (ACC Export), Delhi<\/a>, focusing on smoother clearance of jewellery hand-carry shipments, especially with the festive season and multiple international exhibitions ahead. Mr. Sanjay Madaan, Chief Manager, GJEPC<\/a>, was also present in the meeting, which concluded on a constructive note.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
