The primary goal of the Impact Initiative is to uplift future generations, encourage ethical practices, and raise overall industry benchmarks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jewelers.org\/about\/staff\/david-j-bonaparte#:~:text=President%20%26%20CEO&amp;text=Bonaparte%20spearheads%20Jewelers%20of%20America's,Commission%20and%20other%20industry%20stakeholders.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JA President and CEO <strong>David J. Bonaparte<\/strong><\/a> stated, \u201cWe strongly believe in the value of community, education, and empowerment. The organizations chosen for this first round of Impact Initiative grants share our vision of strengthening the jewelry industry. We\u2019re excited to back these efforts and anticipate their collective impact will bring about real change.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Some of the grant recipients include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blackinjewelry.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BIJC<\/a> Education Fund<\/strong>, for its <em>Future Jewelers Academy<\/em> launched in 2025, which introduces high school students from marginalized backgrounds to career opportunities in jewelry through hands-on experience, mentoring, and training in areas like watchmaking, gemology, and design\u2014preserving artisanal skills and sparking new interest in the trade.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/diamondsdogood.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Diamonds Do Good<\/a><\/strong>, a nonprofit established in 2007, received funding to further its mission of promoting the social and environmental benefits of natural diamonds. It showcases inspiring stories of education and entrepreneurship from diamond-producing regions and emphasizes ethical business practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/jewelerssecurity.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jewelers Security Alliance (JSA)<\/a><\/strong>, awarded a grant for its upcoming <em>Security Certification Program<\/em>, a nationwide effort to train professionals in key safety and emergency response protocols.
