Just as Emerald Month kicks off in May \u2013 when green buds come alive, uplifting our spirits \u2013 an exciting new partnership has emerged from Gemfields. This leading ethical miner and marketer of colored gemstones \u2013 and the majority shareholder and operator of the Kagem emerald mine in Zambia \u2013 has collaborated with Ibiza-based jeweler Natasha Collis<\/a> to create two special collections aimed at \u201cbringing joy to the everyday.\u201d The Natasha Collis Fine Jewellery x Gemfields Ludic and Dancing Duet collections feature Gemfields<\/a>\u2019 Zambian emeralds set against yellow gold in designs that blend spontaneity with elegance. Drawing inspiration from the dualities found in nature, these pieces echo the delights of spring. The four-piece Ludic collection boasts captivating 6cm drop earrings featuring oval, pear, and round cut emeralds; a striking statement ring showcasing an off-center emerald; an open bangle adorned with emerald pave; and a necklace composed of oval, pear, and round emeralds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ludic is characterized by its free-form shapes, a theme that also informs the designs of the Dancing Duet range. This second collection features contrasting gold forms paired together, creating a close relationship between interconnected elements. The Dancing Duet range includes two necklaces, elegant Dancing Duet earrings, everyday studs, and a beautifully flowing bracelet. Each piece is set with exquisite emeralds from the Kagem mine, sculpted into 18k gold designs that flow gracefully in a playful interplay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy passion for emeralds, along with Gemfields<\/a>\u2019 ethos, motivated me to create this partnership,\u201d shares Natasha Collis<\/a>, who began her fine jewelry brand in London before moving to Ibiza in 2009, where she now operates a boutique and studio in the island\u2019s rugged North, drawing her inspiration from the natural surroundings. A trained painter, Natasha transitioned her focus to jewelry design, exploring gold and various creations, and has never looked back since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her signature style emphasizes the raw beauty of gold: she hand-crafts nuggets into organic shapes, cleverly integrating asymmetrical gemstones in a whimsical and playful manner.
