The Jewellery and Gemstone Association of Africa (JGAA)<\/a> has collaborated with GemGen\u00e8ve<\/a>, a renowned international jewellery fair taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, to highlight the craftsmanship of African gemstone artisans, particularly through partnerships with organizations such as Nsanshi Art, a Zambian institution dedicated to jewelry design; this collaboration seeks to elevate African gemstone artistry on a global level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JGAA<\/a> has teamed up with GemGen\u00e8ve<\/a> and the Africa Jewellery Week\u2122 Exhibition to launch our inaugural competition titled \u201cIt is All in Our Hands,\u201d which will take place at GemGen\u00e8ve<\/a> from May 8th to May 11th, 2025. The competition, \u201cIt is All in Our Hands,\u201d is designed to showcase Africa\u2019s talents at one of the most prominent industry exhibitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition is currently open for entries, and we invite you to participate if: You are a permanent resident of the African Continent (Category 1 \u2013 Emerging Jeweller) or If you identify as being of African descent and can demonstrate your expertise at the exhibition. This category for competition is available to individuals of African descent residing in Africa or the broader diaspora (Category 2 \u2013 Expert Technician).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be six winners in Category 1 and two winners in Category 2. The winning entries will be displayed in the JGAA<\/a>\u2019s Africa Jewellery Week\u2122 Exhibition space at GemGen\u00e8ve<\/a>, with the competition awards announced during the exhibition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
