Gemological Science International (GSI)<\/a> has established a new satellite laboratory in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, to provide same-day certification services to the region’s thriving jewellery sector. The 1,200-square-foot facility, which was opened by GSI<\/a> India Managing Director Ramit Kapur<\/a> on January 24, 2025, is outfitted with cutting-edge equipment, including Mindron & GSI<\/a>‘s Trusure series, to provide quick and dependable certification for jewelry, diamonds, and gemstones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Madhya Pradesh is seeing an increase in demand for speedier certification services, prompting this approach. While the state has traditionally sourced jewellery from Mumbai, Surat, and Jaipur, an increase in local manufacturing and trading has created a demand for affordable, high-quality certification. GSI<\/a>‘s presence intends to help this burgeoning business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Indore lab will provide services previously unavailable to local jewellers, such as sophisticated screening for gemstone treatment and polki jewellery certification. The Trusure diamond testing device would also allow jewellers to trade with more confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kapur stated, “The increase in customer demand for personalized jewelry has prompted a shift toward local manufacturing in Madhya Pradesh. With this transformation comes an increased demand for accurate certification and quality assurance. GSI<\/a>‘s Indore lab provides same-day gemmological services with unrivaled turnaround times, allowing jewelers to satisfy market needs effectively while maintaining consumer trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
