The natural diamond sector, he added, is working with the <a href=\"https:\/\/gjepc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gems and Jewellery Exports Promotion Council<\/a> and the government to unify quality certificates and grading requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/amit-pratihari-b1288712\/?original_referer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Egoogle%2Ecom%2F&amp;originalSubdomain=in\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pratihari<\/a> does not see the synthetic diamond business as a direct competitor, he recognizes the growing popularity of lab-grown diamonds and the need for regulation to ensure buyers are aware. Following the Federation Trade Commission&#8217;s (FTC) rules, India now requires synthetic diamonds to be prominently identified as such, with additional advancements in grading standards likely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of retail growth, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.debeersgroup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">De Beers<\/a> believes India&#8217;s diamond market would expand from $8.5 billion in 2024 to $17 billion by 2030.
